OOTY
The clients intent was to create multiple structures to serve as holiday homes on the present plot. Three villa units are designed to reside on the hillside at different levels of the sloping terrain and faced overlooking a valley.
The units are connected by stepped tracks and central landscaping. The structure has a truss envelope with walls on the upper ground floor and an open lower entertainment floor.
By minimising surface area and providing large open-out windows, the structure feels boundless. The interiors have a modern rustic finish with sloped roof and exposed metal battens. The beams and columns form a network of interlocking structures with 72"x72" sections are used such as to be easily carried to the high altitude.
