The residence is designed in traditional Chettinad style where the main part of the building is disposed around a central courtyard. The style is characterised by the front thinnai and teakwood pillars. A large teak wood door opens up into the main courtyard of the structure which is bordered by pillars and rooms with tall windows and rustic ceramic tiles flooring.
