Located on the rock-strewn terrain of Ramnagara, 50kms from Bengaluru -  the design is focused on neutral, raw materials and their synergy with their context. The house was oriented to focus into a hillrock nearby.

The foundation idea is to design a space true to material by use of rough-cut stone flooring and exposed concrete ceilings with rough broom finish to create a sense of horizontality throughout.

Upscaled windows in the living room bring continuity between indoors and outdoors. Most walls are plastered with a few left exposed to showcase chamber bricks anchoring the visual movement. The subtle interiors act as a backdrop for the accent furniture pieces.
